I am so excited to share with you one of my favorite ways to assess learning after reading a story. It's retelling the story! When you retell a story you tell it in several parts. The beginning, which you list your characters and the setting, where did it take place. The middle is usually what was the problem and the end, tells the solution, how the problem was solved.
